Swami Vivekananda Drug De-Addiction and Treatment Centre is the first model deaddiction centre to be established out of 5 model de-addiction centres of Punjab. It was founded on April 2nd, 2011 by Honorable Minister Shri Teekshan Sood with blessings of former Chief Minister of Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal. From last 12 years this centre is playing an immense role in cutting the roots of drug addiction from all the parts of Punjab and mainly from Majha region. It is 50 bedded centre which is running following services for treatment of drug dependent patients:

• Outdoor patient and inpatient services free of cost for detoxification of drug dependent patients by most experienced and expert team of doctors who are available 24*7 with their best efforts to wean off drug addiction from society.
• Provision for emergency healthcare services is present within the centre for better health care of patients admitted in the centre.
• Efficient counselling sessions including individual counselling, group and family counselling by trained psychologists are being done regularly to enhance motivation of patients to get rid of addiction.
• Legal aid clinic for the patients to solve their legal issues.
• Training of medical and paramedical staff about deaddiction services.
• Dope testing.
• Various recreational activities for inpatients like exercise and gym, yoga classes, prayer sessions, indoor games like carrom board and other entertaining facilities like television.

Note: The treatment is free of cost and free food is provided to Indoor patients.
